Course Description
This is a two-evening progression with one of the amazing CANRVRSUP Instructors. They will guide participants from mellow current to moving with the flow on Class II Rivers. Goals The aim of this course is to introduce paddlers with good SUP Class I River skills to progress up to paddling comfortably in Class II River currents. This course not only focuses on skills, but on all the safety elements of paddling on the river. In this course, you will learn about stronger currents, river hazards, surfing, and running drops. Outcomes After completing this course, participants can expect to feel comfortable taking a personal (unguided) SUP trip on Class II Rivers. They will understand the potential hazards the river poses, along with a variety of new skills that can apply to the moving water environment.
