Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater SUP Instructor Certification

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Advanced Flatwater Instructor Course is aimed at evolving your Stand Up Paddle skills, teaching tactics and safety knowledge for paddling on flatwater. If you are a Paddle Canada basic flatwater SUP instructor paddler looking to grow your paddling progression and develop as an instructor this course is for you.


GOALS
To introduce participants to the Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater SUP Instructor Program.  Candidates will cover the material in the Paddle Canada SUP manual for Basic and Advanced Flatwater and will receive personal development feedback in regards to their paddling.


​OUTCOMES
Successful instructor candidates will possess skills and experience beyond the level they are teaching at the Advanced Flatwater level and they will be certified to teach in flatwater. Successful candidates  will be able to lead Paddle Canada Basic and Advanced Flatwater Skills courses and clinics.

No course currently available for the 2024 season.

PRE-REQUISITES
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Current Paddle Canada Instructor membership as a a basic SUP instructor.
  • Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater SUP Skills Certification or equivalent skills and knowledge
  • Current certification in standard first aid with CPR (14–16 hours)
  • Experience beyond that of the Advanced Flatwater skills course
