Join CANRVRSUP on a 4 day raft supported SUP trip down the Kootenay River in British Columbia. This stunning river is one of the most accessible reaches of water that can lead you to believe you’re actually in the NWT with its epic scenery.
The trip begins just out of the park, at a fun entry rapid under the bridge. The difficulty of the river builds gradually through the day, with small wave trains and corners providing most of the excitement. This is a great section to build confidence on your SUP, as there is nothing over Class II+ at typical seasonal water levels.
Camp on gorgeous sandy beaches or underneath the beautiful BC forest with endless stars overhead at night. Savour top quality meals prepared by your guides each day to fuel your adventure. The Kootenay River is a trip of a lifetime for paddlers and our goal is to provide you with the best experience possible.
Be prepared to be awestruck by the famous Gibraltar Rock as we approach the take out on the final day. Take this time to reflect upon the memories you’ve created after 87kms of river travel. Our shuttle will be waiting for us at the Hwy 93/95 road bridge in Canal Flats.
