Intro to River SUP Touring w/ Rocky Canoe Club
Course Description Get started on your River SUP Touring journey with the CANRVRSUP guide team. We will start by brushing up our river skills in Rocky Mountain House Thursday then head up the North Saskatchewan River to Nordegg where we will load up our boards and set off. The trip will be a combination of enjoying scenery and learning the ins and outs of tackling a similar adventure with friends in the future. We will paddle and camp along the River Friday and Saturday returning to Rocky Mountain House for a send off celebration Sunday afternoon. Goals This course aims to inspire you to start SUP exploring on Class 1 & 2 Rivers. The Guides will share their tips and tricks to set you up for success on your next personal trip. Outcomes After completing this course clients can expect to understand what it takes to tackle a River SUP multi-day and will understand basic self-rescue skills and river knowledge needed to move safely and efficiently. |
COURSE PRICE
$598.65 per person + GST 3% from every registration gets donated back to the Rocky Canoe Club. Aug 25-28th, 2022 START TIME - FINISH TIME 12pm Thursday - 3:30pm Sunday LOCATION-Rocky Mountain House North Saskatchewan River SKILL LEVEL Step 4 - Intermediate - newer to the current, has paddle boarded before, feels comfortable falling off and remounting the paddle board.Participants should be comfortable swimming in moving water. Taking a River Intro Course in advance, and having experience paddling in current can be an asset to this trip but is not necessary. INCLUDES
